How to tell if you have an anger problem…

As you look around the internet and other places, you will come across lists and lists of questions that you can use to check yourself to see if you have a problem with your anger. These lists are good and you can get some insight into your problem from them.

However, you can simplify things a bit by looking at your actions and their results.

As you look at yourself ask; Do I act in ways that frighten or try to control other people? You can even ask if your actions and body responses are frightening to you.

If your answer to this question is yes you definitely should give attention to managing your anger.

If you find that your answer is no, but you still within yourself feel as if you have a problem then you should not just hitch your wagon to the answer to one single question like the one asked earlier.

The reason for this is that not everybody shows their anger openly.

You may say well this is good that I don't express my anger outwardly, but really it isn't good because what often happens is that the anger that is not shown or expressed over time turns into a very dangerous and vicious form of rage.

At other times, this suppressed anger can also turn into life threatening physical illnesses.

What to do about it…

So you have checked yourself and you feel like you have an anger problem. What you will want to do first is really begin to understand what the main things are that make you angry. Once you know what these things are, you will be able to plan how to neutralize or at least avoid them.

There are other things you will want to do to really make a soothing impression on your anger. In fact there are several things you will want to do. To make sure that you get enough of them in place it will save you time and frustration if you were to complete a good anger management class.
